Whether you are a new writer or have published, all are welcome. If writing is your life, search for a group no longer. The format will be writer …

Stories should be no longer than about 2,000 words (about 8 pages) and can be as short as a fraction of a page as long as it feels complete. The workshop will meet for two hours, approximately. There is …

We are a group of writers who enjoy imaginative, perhaps even offbeat, fiction. Our goal is to write well--or at least better--but with the freedom to make mistakes. Speculative fiction--which includes science fiction, horror, steampunk, dystopian fiction, and fantasy genres--allows writers of fiction an oppor …

The SWG has been around for over twenty years, but is just now catching up with this "Meetup" technology.(LOL!) Nonetheless, the group, though small at the moment, will soon start to grow and flourish as it once was. This is truly a place for novice, intermediate, and seasoned writers who would like to share their work in a friendly environment where harsh criticism is reprimanded. Even if …
